Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays Everyone!!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, we did!!!!

Our mom & dad bought us wonderful gifts! And we gave them gifts that they loved too!

On Christmas eve, we all watched a Christmas movie together, and then I woke everyone up really early on Christmas day (and every other day) so that M&D could give us presents. They bought us a few cat toys, and we also got special treats! Cool Whip for me, and Deli turkey & ham for Oscar! Yum! We also got wonderful toys from our grandparents, and great grandma!

Merry Christmas! I know that I probably look like I was a good boy and let M&D put this ensemble on me. But, dad just placed this hat on my head, and mom got the picture at the perfect time! See outtakes below!

Oscar LOVING his new toy from his Great Grandma! He would stick his face in this little well to steady it, then try to pull the ball out! That's why I won to get to write the holiday blog... because he's too busy with his head in his toy.

Guarding the gifts mom bought for dad from him. She didn't want dad snooping. Mom's gifts for dad are wrapped in the bows, and for our wrapping, we just decided to write all over the box with marker.

Oscar's turn to guard the gifts. But, he chewed on the bows and then mom got upset.

Thanks for our gifts everyone! We loved them, and even more than the toys we LOVED the wrapping and bags they came in!

In addition to the holidays, it's been ONE WHOLE YEAR that we've had this blog!!! We never thought we would keep up with it as much as we have. Even though we've had some writers block over the past few months, and mom gets lazy on us, we've still done an OK job!

Thanks everyone for reading, and staying with us! We hope we have some good posts to share in 2013!

Happy Thanksgiving

We hope all of our friends have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
We are thankful for so many things this year. Our mom & dad, our toys (mousey, pink ball especially), our cat trees, food, faucet water, tons of sleeping spots, family time, and cardboard.
We are already making our Christmas list...

Doesn't this picture look so cool? Mom made it that way! Mom says she is SO thankful for dad & us. We are thankful for you too, mom!

Caticure.

Or as mom likes to call it, a "manicure".

I happen to love doing my nails. I love to be well groomed. M&D think it's SO weird when I do this. Oscar never does it, and anybody who has seen me do this, says they've never seen another cat do this either. I *AM* very unique, but I am wondering; do any of you out there groom your nails like this? Or am I alone?

Storm Prep Part 2.

So this was exciting...
Dad had to bring in everything off of our balcony. We don't know why we even have stuff on our balcony. M&D never go out there because they don't trust we won't run out and try to do acrobatics from 12 stories high.

So anyway, dad went and got a big piece of cardboard to put the heavy furniture on, and we immediately played on it!! We didn't know cardboard came in rug form, it's wonderful!

WOW M&D!!!! This is amazing, THANK YOU! You'll notice we got so excited we immediately put a hole in the box. Dad tried covering it with duct tape, but it didn't take us long to rip that up and bat it around.
Karl getting rid of that nuisance tape so we could continue to work on the hole and make it bigger.

Fun & comfortable!

So after that, dad brought in the heavy table & chairs that live on the balcony. Talk about fun! We were drawn directly to them. They were dirty, so mom made dad cover them with his ugly towels that he had when he was still a bachelor. Mom hates them, but was happy that they resurfaced for this particular occassion.

Check us out!!!! We can make a sleeping spot out of anything. Our new favorite place to be. If M&D would just move our food and litter to this cardboard box island, we wouldn't even leave it.

We are ready for the storm. But still worried about stray cats. We think we can fit a few extra cats on our cardboard island...

Storm Prep.

According to mom, a hurricane is headed our way. Mom is not pleased, because it is going to impact many plans and appointments she has next week. We, however are THRILLED! This means, M&D are locked in the apartment with us for possibly days! We have so many ideas of ways we can all entertain one another! Fetch, sleep, laser light, more naps, eating, sleeping, treats, watch the storm from the window, sleep some more.... It will be great!

In an effort to help prepare for the storm, we are helping out by doing the laundry. I mean, we kind of feel obligated to, since Oscar's hair is all over everyone's clothes.

Oscar preps the dirty clothes. He sheds a lot, so nobody wants him laying on freshly washed clothes.

I fold. Because I barely shed. Also notice this perfect combination... a laundry basket, laying on top of a box! It's like I'm in heaven! Not to mention, this box is from Saks, and I'm a bit of a label cat.

The only thing making us sad about the storm, is all the cats out there that don't have homes or a safe place to be. We hope that they are OK and find someplace safe to hide until this is all over. Mom is seriously considering hiding open cans of cat food throughout our parking garage to lure them there, where they can hopefully wait out the storm. I wonder if they would smell the food from a few floors up?

The Zoo.

Another place we weren't allowed to go. Sigh.

Mom took dad for his birthday, and they had a great time! They took loads of photos of the animals and showed them to us, so they are forgiven.

Since everything is ALWAYS all about *US*, mom made the following two comparison photos!
Oscar having a sleep off with a real life Snow Leopard! I think the Snow Leopard may have him beat... He looks pretty cozy on that rock.

The tiger looks so happy in this picture to see my mom!! I don't blame him, she is really nice and loves all cats. I'm obviously moody in this picture. I don't remember what my problem was. Probably jealous of all the cat pictures they took. What? are we not good enough anymore?

Happy Birthday To Our Dad!

Dad's birthday is tomorrow, but we are going to be so busy celebrating that we don't know if we'll have time to blog!

It goes without saying, our dad is the absolute best cat dad we've ever met! He takes such good care of us! He takes us to the vet, he plays with us, he feeds us, he scoops our litter, he let's us get away with murder, and he NEVER stays mad at us long no matter how bad we are!

We get so excited every morning for him to wake up, and we love laying between his legs at night. We are so happy & lucky to be his "little buddies"!!!

Even though we are difficult sometimes, we hope our dad knows just how much we love and appreciate him.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD! We love you so much! Thank you for being the best ever.
We are highly considering letting you sleep in a little later than usual tomorrow as your gift... But we haven't decided yet. If we don't, it's because we are really excited to see you for your big day!

Mom helped us make this for dad. We have other good pics of us cuddling, but we didn't want to show his very handsome face. Mom was scared someone may try to steal him from her... Afterall; he is the most handsome & wonderful man in the world :)
