Storm Prep Part 2.

So this was exciting...
Dad had to bring in everything off of our balcony. We don't know why we even have stuff on our balcony. M&D never go out there because they don't trust we won't run out and try to do acrobatics from 12 stories high.

So anyway, dad went and got a big piece of cardboard to put the heavy furniture on, and we immediately played on it!! We didn't know cardboard came in rug form, it's wonderful!

WOW M&D!!!! This is amazing, THANK YOU! You'll notice we got so excited we immediately put a hole in the box. Dad tried covering it with duct tape, but it didn't take us long to rip that up and bat it around.
Karl getting rid of that nuisance tape so we could continue to work on the hole and make it bigger.

Fun & comfortable!

So after that, dad brought in the heavy table & chairs that live on the balcony. Talk about fun! We were drawn directly to them. They were dirty, so mom made dad cover them with his ugly towels that he had when he was still a bachelor. Mom hates them, but was happy that they resurfaced for this particular occassion.

Check us out!!!! We can make a sleeping spot out of anything. Our new favorite place to be. If M&D would just move our food and litter to this cardboard box island, we wouldn't even leave it.

We are ready for the storm. But still worried about stray cats. We think we can fit a few extra cats on our cardboard island...

Storm Prep.

According to mom, a hurricane is headed our way. Mom is not pleased, because it is going to impact many plans and appointments she has next week. We, however are THRILLED! This means, M&D are locked in the apartment with us for possibly days! We have so many ideas of ways we can all entertain one another! Fetch, sleep, laser light, more naps, eating, sleeping, treats, watch the storm from the window, sleep some more.... It will be great!

In an effort to help prepare for the storm, we are helping out by doing the laundry. I mean, we kind of feel obligated to, since Oscar's hair is all over everyone's clothes.

Oscar preps the dirty clothes. He sheds a lot, so nobody wants him laying on freshly washed clothes.

I fold. Because I barely shed. Also notice this perfect combination... a laundry basket, laying on top of a box! It's like I'm in heaven! Not to mention, this box is from Saks, and I'm a bit of a label cat.

The only thing making us sad about the storm, is all the cats out there that don't have homes or a safe place to be. We hope that they are OK and find someplace safe to hide until this is all over. Mom is seriously considering hiding open cans of cat food throughout our parking garage to lure them there, where they can hopefully wait out the storm. I wonder if they would smell the food from a few floors up?

The Zoo.

Another place we weren't allowed to go. Sigh.

Mom took dad for his birthday, and they had a great time! They took loads of photos of the animals and showed them to us, so they are forgiven.

Since everything is ALWAYS all about *US*, mom made the following two comparison photos!
Oscar having a sleep off with a real life Snow Leopard! I think the Snow Leopard may have him beat... He looks pretty cozy on that rock.

The tiger looks so happy in this picture to see my mom!! I don't blame him, she is really nice and loves all cats. I'm obviously moody in this picture. I don't remember what my problem was. Probably jealous of all the cat pictures they took. What? are we not good enough anymore?
